If you trade currencies or need multiple screens for heavy workloads then this set up is ideal.
hi there I'm just going to do a quick video today on how to install a couple of external monitors to a laptop there doesn't seem to be anything on YouTube actually covers us it talks about you know desktop PCs etc so this is just a straightforward Lenovo laptop that I've got here and I'm going to install a couple of extra monitors to that the first thing you're going to need is obviously a couple of extra monitors usually come with the VGA tape connections which is these these things here and what you want to do is I've got the left hand monitor here I'll just take the cable for this left-hand monitor and if I can remember which side the actual connector is so you can do at the side here that disconnects and two there that now connects up the left-hand water you can see it's now automatically switched on that will be recognized straight away now most of your laptops saying especially if it's three or four years old like this one and only have one VGA output so what you're going to need is some sort of external USB connector and what I've actually got here is called a USB 2.0 video adapter now I got this thing off for YouTube and I shall has its own VGA adapter at one side and it also has as USB connection this say this is a two point not a two point not USB version here so 42.9 up now I want to do is connect this a right hand screen here in order to do that I'm going to have to get the VGA connector here and connect it into this part of the unit here so bear with me one second okay that is now connected to the unit no the next thing I want to do is actually just connect this USB part into one of the USB ports and the PC laptop so that said now I know what to check over so that this monitor is on and I've done that the reason I do this is because I trade currencies and there's no use for me sitting at home and with one screen here you can see everything's crammed onto one screen when I've got one screen on the left and one screen on the right now obviously this USB VGA adapter would actually come with its own software here now actually pre-installed us you just put this into your and you're just driving your PC load up the drivers and I talk you through this tutorial which is just a couple of minutes it's really easy now the next question I get asked obviously is there how you actually get this you know to work on screen is telling you here that the USB device is no install driver whines do not do water with that know why I can actually do is just change what screen I actually have this on so this by double-clicking on this window here you can see I can now drag this over onto the solar screen and I have a bigger screen to look at my my currencies leaving this screen free and also this screen free now what you want to do is also make sure that your screens are configured properly so that your mouse will move from one screen onto the metal screen and across to the right screen so it goes right across all three screens here and how you would do that you would just go into and your PC one two you can pay your control panel so I'm doing this on a little thing called a video here you then go into your pearance and personalization and just adjust the screen resolution so you can see appearance and rizal a penis personalization adjust screen resolution so click on that and then it would automatically come up and tell you which configuration you're more nobody's set up correctly number one is sitting in the middle here which is the laptop number two which is the screen on the left and number three which is the screen on the right and are all set to their automatic settings and you can just clear out with your settings here by using the slider bar it's as simple as I if I wanted to change things around I would just click on your this one here move over the left hand side but I'll just leave it the way it is just now and so that's how you would do it once you've actually done that you just apply and then okay an income out of that and as you can see you have complete functionality everything's moving between all the monitors no so freely to prove that I'll just again double click on this window here that's the left-hand screen move it across the middle and then I could actually then just move across that I if I wanted to and maximize it it's that simple to do okay thank you bye
